August is upon us, and as such is #ARCAugust. I don’t know about y’all but I mayormaynot have a slight backlog of ARCs I need to read. A couple are for blog tours I’ve booked, and a few I just need to read. So, below is my list of books I’m going to focus on this August. Obviously I’ll stray from this path, but it’s nice to have dreams. Anyway, here’s my list and a link to the Goodreads synopsis as applicable.
American Royals, Katharine McGee
I actually will be participating in a tour for this title in September on release day, as requested by the publisher! Be on the lookout!
The Good Luck Girls, Charlotte Nicole Davis
I won this book in a weekly #BookishFirst raffle. Due for release in October, this is sure to be a favorite for us all! Blurbed by one of my new favorite authors, I am expecting nothing short of greatness.
Here There Are Monsters, Amelinda Bérubé
This one releases on August 6, this Tuesday. It’s creepy and spooky and sure to be a good one to scare me straight in light of the common autumn season!
SLAY, Brittney Morris
I was loaned this book from a dear friend, Emily, so I need to read it super soon and send it back to her! Due for release in September, this powerful novel about a young black girl who is a wiz game programmer needs to be on everyone’s TBR.
I was lucky enough to have gained this ARC from trading other bookies online! I cannot wait for this story of a boss chick trying to find her magic!
With all these serious books I’m planning to read, I’ve got to break it up with a romcomdram or two!
Another romcom to break up the seriousness of the rest of my TBR! I’m actually a few chapters into this one and I’m enjoying it 🙂
Thank you to each publisher for the ARCs, whether physical or digital. I am deeply grateful to each of them for their generosity. Particular thanks for Random House Book for Young Readers for asking me to be on the blog tour for American Royals.
