Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
I have so many books I want to read this year but so little time to read them. I’ve only read one book this month so far, I just can’t find the time anymore. Hopefully I can get to these ten and more 🤞🏻
1. Priory of the orange tree by Samantha Shannon
I have heard so many good things about this. What sold me was dragons and a f/f romance.
I’ve had so many people recommend this one to me. I honestly have no idea what it’s about. I want to go in without knowing much and see what happens.
3. The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
My dear friend Melanie at Meltotheany gifted me a copy of this book for Christmas and I am forever thankful for her and her friendship. I can not wait to read this one.
4. The hearts invisible furies by John Boyne
This is another one I don’t know much about. I saw Readwithkat on Instagram talking about it and how she loved it. I also read his other books ladder to the sky and the writing was incredible and now I want all of his books.
5. Gone girl by Gillian Flynn
I loved the movie and I didn’t realize when it came out it was based on a book. (Please forgive me 🙈) I want to read this one this year and rewatch the movie after since it is one of my favorites. Everyone says her books are amazing, so I can’t wait.
6. Blood and bone by Nora Roberts (book 2)
I love Year one so much. The magic, the plague, the evil vs good, etc. year one left off with a huge cliff hanger so I can’t wait to dig into this book.
7. Daisy jones & the six
I’ve seen so many mixed reviews on this, but I still want to give it a go and see what I think. I haven’t read anything by Taylor Jenkins Reid yet so I need to catch up.
8. The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Is anyone else truly shocked I haven’t read this yet? I’ve been putting it off for so long because of the hype 🙈. I’m afraid to read it and hate it lol. Hopefully this spring I can finally force myself to read this beloved book.
9. The great alone by Kristin Hannah
This is one I’ve heard so many great things about. I want to go in not knowing much because this book is so loved by the community.
10. The Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead
I haven’t seen anyone mention this one expect Gabby (myfictionalworld) on Instagram mention this one. This one is about slaves pre-civil war and a story of a girl who wants to risk everything and try to escape in the Underground Railroad.
These are my top Ten this week? Anything planned for your spring tbr? Have you read any of these?
