Hi! Since, I’m new here to the Curly Book Owl Family, I thought I would briefly introduce myself. My name is Linda and I’m @myreadingchronicles over on Instagram. I live in Texas with my husband, four kids, four cats and one dog. Yes, it’s quite the zoo most of the time but I also wouldn’t have it any other way. I love having a full house! It keeps me on my toes, haha. I will be blogging twice a week for y’all here. I will be doing book reviews on Tuesdays and on Thursdays I will spotlight upcoming books that I’m excited about!
Today, I have for you One Summer in Paris by Sarah Morgan. I’ve admittedly, only read one book by the author Sarah Morgan, but boy was it good! I read The Christmas Sisters last year thanks to Harlequin Books for having provided me with a free copy. It was a five star book for me so I just had to get my hands on her new book when I heard she had a new one coming out. Harlequin Books was kind enough to send me the advanced reader copy and it’s a gorgeous cover!
To celebrate their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, Grace has planned the surprise of a lifetime for her husband—a romantic getaway to Paris. But she never expected he’d have a surprise of his own: he wants a divorce. Reeling from the shock but refusing to be broken, a devastated Grace makes the bold decision to go to Paris alone.
Audrey, a young woman from London, has left behind a heartache of her own when she arrives in Paris. A job in a bookshop is her ticket to freedom, but with no money and no knowledge of the French language, suddenly a summer spent wandering the cobbled streets alone seems much more likely…until she meets Grace, and everything changes.
Grace can’t believe how daring Audrey is. Audrey can’t believe how cautious newly single Grace is. Living in neighboring apartments above the bookshop, this unlikely pair offer each other just what they’ve both been missing. They came to Paris to find themselves, but finding this unbreakable friendship might be the best thing that’s ever happened to them…
Doesn’t it just sound great? Any book that mentions a bookstore/bookshop and I’m immediately sold! The book will be out April 9, 2019. I hope y’all enjoyed my first post! See ya’ll Tuesday with a book review!
