Hellooo everyone! I wish I could say I was sitting at home writing this post for you on this windy Saturday morning, but alas no, I’m probably sitting in a car at work making home calls and such. With that being said, I’ve managed to get my hands on quite a few books in the first two weeks of the new year.
To be quite honest, I received very few physical books. As of today, the one of the only physical copies I’ve received is my ARC of Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte. This is, quite honestly, one of my most anticipated reads of the year…or at least the beginning of the year. There are FAR too many amazing books coming out this year to have a favorite for the whole year quite yet. I got this beauty in a trade on Twitter (which is actually how I met Courtney which is how I got here talking to you guys! Woo full circle!). I don’t do many trades because I never have what people want, but I’m soooo glad I was able to get my hands on this book. I’m planning on getting to it before the end of the month!
The other physical copy I got my hands on is a copy of The Wicked King by Holly Black, another anticipated read. I got this and a bunch of other bookish/faerie related goodies in my Owlcrate Wicked King box; you may see a review of this box coming up soon once I get a decent picture of it all. I’m so glad they decided to do a special box so that we could have matching covers because…tbh, I really don’t like the original covers.
Now, most of the other books I got thus far this month have been e-ARCS and ebooks. The list is a big long, so bear with me.
- Sherwood by Meagan Spooner (ARC)
- Mortal Engines by Philip Reeve
- Dry by Neal and Jarrod Shusterman
- To Best the Boys by Mary Weber (ARC)
- The Shadowglass by Rin Chupeco (ARC)
- Heir of Ra by M. Sasinowski
- Glow: Book I, Potency by Aubrey Hadley
- The Everlasting Rose by Dhonielle Clayton (ARC)
- Bloodleaf by Crystal Smith (ARC)
- Courting Darkness by Robin LaFevers (ARC)
- The Last Beginning by Lauren James
Will I get to alllll of these ARCS? I’m hoping. I still need to read The Heart Forger by Rin Chupeco, soooo I may not get to that? But we’ll see! You guys will know if I don’t get to them because there won’t be a review haha.
Do you guys see any books you’re excited for? What’s your most anticipated read for 2019 (at least the first half of the year)?
