Goodbye darkness, Hello Light by Erin Dunn

I wasn’t really sure how to go about reviewing this, especially since I’ve never written a review for a poetry book before. This gave me vibes of the princess saves herself in this one. If you haven’t read that poetry collection I highly recommend it.

I wasn’t really sure what type of poetry would be in here. It doesn’t have any trigger warnings, so I was a bit nervous going into it. I can tell you there are trigger warnings for talk of rape, overdose and abuse. If those are not topics you are comfortable reading about I highly recommend you skip this one.

This Collection is very quick to read. I finished it in about 30 minutes. Some of the poems I loved and some I disliked. The few that stood out to me were mainly about darker subjects, while the smaller ones I just didn’t enjoy as much.

Overall I give this collection 4 stars because it was good and some of them made you think. The writing style is easy to follow and the poems don’t feel like riddles as you can comprehend what the meaning is.
