5 Tips to getting out of a slump!

We have all been in a slump at one point or another. We feel unmotivated to read or even pick up a book, other times we can read 5 books in a week. I find posted on Instagram and book groups on Facebook that some feel unmotivated to read or even listen to an audio-book. So here are my top 5 ways to get out of a reading slump.

Pick up one of your favorites, something you loved the first time you read it and see if it motivates you to read. I personally reach for Queens of Geek when I’m in a slump. Its the perfect fluffy read to motivated you to do some read.

Organize your bookshelves, sometimes organize my shelf I come across a book I didn’t know I had. I get interested in it and end up sitting on the floor next to my shelves reading it.

Go to Goodreads and browse books and see if something interest you. I follow so many Bloggers/Reviewers on Goodreads. You may find a book that catches your eye and gets you motivated again.

Read an easy book under 200 pages. Something simple and easy. Nothing big and intimidating, sometimes the easy books help to pull you out of your slump.

Don’t force it, if you don’t feel like reading, don’t force it. If you force yourself to read, it may make it where you do not enjoy reading anymore. So go watch tv, play video games, bake, draw, etc. Do something else you enjoy, it may be a few days, but you will want to read again, so don’t feel guilty about your tbr or not reading.
