My Top 5 Summer Reads

When summer comes around I love reading contemporary books or just books that have that cute fluff, lol. There’s just something about the summer and fluff that make for great reading time. These are some of the novels I loved reading this summer.

  1. Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde

22008394This was such a cute and quick read full of fluff. It has a hella amount of diversity that I love. you have Charlie who is Bi-sexual and has a huge crush on another YouTuber. Taylor who has autism spectrum disorder and social anxiety. This is a great book, especially if you are looking to add a diverse and fluff book to your shelf.

2. The Color Project by Sierra Abrams

The Color Project is a fantastic book. It is full of fluff and just all around good read. Levi is an absolute sweetheart and Bee is a ball of anxiety. I personally loved this book and related a bunch to Bee. It is really a heartfelt book that Sierra put a lot of work into.

3. When Dimple met Rishi by Sandhya Menon

Another diverse summer fluff read, it shows a lot of the India culture and you find yourself looking up the words in the book to understand what they mean. It was really a great way to see some of the India cultures. It is one of my favorites this year and a great summer contemporary.

4. Ramona Blue

Ramona blue is about a teen (Ramona) identifying as lesbian, but when Freddie comes back into town she starts to have feelings for him and has problems dealing with her sexuality. This was a cute fluffy diverse read. It was not one of my favorites, but still a good book.

5. Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon

Madeleine Whittier is sick and has to live in basically her room/house. She can not go outside for being sick. She has DID, if she goes outside she could possibly die. Olly moves in next door and everything changes. This was a cute fluffy read, definitely one for summer.

These were some of my favorite reads this summer. What are some of yours? Any to Recommend?
